Installing the slider lock couldn't be any easier. The slider lock is installed above your existing sliding door lock. When small children are present in household, we recommend installing the slider lock halfway between the top of your existing lock and the top of the sliding door.

Our sliding door locks require a minimum of tools to install. An electric drill, an 1/8" drill bit, a tape measure, a Phillips screwdriver or a Phillips bit that will fit your drill and a marking pencil.

Place the latch part of the slider lock against the door jamb in the desired location of installation. Mark the screw holes with a pencil. Drill 1/8" pilot holes and install latch using provided screws.
Slide your door to the fully closed position. Open both lock bolts on slider lock. Position lock on slider door frame and center over latch. Close both lock bolts and drill 1/8" pilot holes in door frame. Install lock using provided screws.
Once the slider lock is mounted, snap the cover plate in place by pushing it firmly side to side until it pops into place.

That's it, you're done!
